Logistics

An indoor space and a standard outlet

Most gyms work. We prefer 12 feet of clearance, but our secondary low-profile dome runs under ceilings as low as 10 feet. Floor space minimum is 20 by 20 feet, 25 by 25 preferred. The only other thing we need is a standard outlet.

  • Students walk in through a standing-height door. A full group is seated in about a minute.
  • Staff to help line up and supervise students (they’ll enjoy the presentation too!)
  • Students sit on the floor inside the dome, with a 360° view of the presentation
  • Accessible to students with disabilities, including wheelchair users

Setup takes about 30 minutes. Teardown takes about 30 minutes. We’re packed out before dismissal.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How many students fit in the dome?

For most grades, about 50 students fit at a time, along with our presenter and a few teachers. For junior high groups, plan on slightly fewer than 50; for high school seniors, about 40.

How many students can you get through in a day?

Up to 600. A full-day booking gives you up to twelve 30-minute sessions with as many as 50 students each.

How much space do you need?

Ideally 25×25 ft with 13 feet of vertical clearance — a gym, multipurpose room, or large library meeting room. A regulation 10-foot hoop with a full backboard means you’re fine. Tighter rooms work down to 20×20 ft with 12-foot ceilings, and our low-profile dome handles ceilings as low as 10 feet — ask before you rule a room out.

Who’s coming to our school?

A trained, background-checked Galaxy on the Go presenter — experienced educators and performers who know how to hold a room of second graders and a room of high school seniors.

Is the dome accessible for students with disabilities?

Yes. Students can remain in wheelchairs, and we adjust entry and exit procedures to accommodate your students. It is helpful, but not necessary, to let us know ahead of time which of your groups may require these accommodations.

Is it really this easy? Any surprises?

No surprises. Our founder is a PTA parent who built this to be friction-free for schools. We arrive early, set up, run the sessions, pack out, and leave your gym exactly as we found it.
