Ways to bring the cost down

A full day is $1,499 and a half day is $999. If that is more than your budget, here are three ways to lower it, plus help finding money you may already qualify for.

Flexible Dates

$1,199

Save $300 off our full day rate. Same program, same presenter. We agree on 4-6 dates that work for your school, then let you know your exact date no fewer than two weeks out. This keeps our schedule more flexible to book other schools. (Half-day flex rate: $899)

Video-Only Day

$1,049

If you don’t need live, interactive lessons, our team instead screens 360° films produced by the Adler Planetarium, the California Academy of Sciences, the European Space Agency, or more. Our operator still runs the dome all day. One full-day film license is included; each additional title is $50. See some of our available films →

Block Bookings

10–20%

Partner with other schools in your district or area and save. Two schools booking together for a full-day program save 10% each ($1,349 per school), and three or more schools save 20% each ($1,199 per school).

Photo/Video Access

Ask us

We’re seeking new photos and video of Galaxy on the Go in action, and your school could be where we get them. Let us bring a photographer and/or videographer and we can offer a customized discount. How much depends on how much access you can give us, up to a full video shoot with releases.

These can be combined. Tell us which ones fit your school and we will quote one price. Rates apply to weekday daytime school and camp visits; pricing may be adjusted beyond 50 miles from Chicago.

Find funding

Money your school may already qualify for

Many schools cover a visit without touching the classroom budget. PTA and PTO funds, Title IV-A enrichment money, local education foundations, and DonorsChoose projects are common sources. We are building a tool that matches your school to what it qualifies for. Until it is ready, tell us your situation in the form below and we will point you to the right place.

Can we combine a discount with outside funding?

Yes. Use whatever combination gets the dome into your gym.

Does a discounted visit include everything?

Yes. Setup, teardown, equipment, and travel within 50 miles of Chicago are included at every price on this page. A video-only day swaps the live presenter for a film; nothing else changes.
