This Isn’t the Planetarium You Crawled Into in 1995
If you went to elementary school in the ’90s, you might remember it: crawling through a tunnel into a wobbly dome, sitting cross-legged on a gym floor, and watching a slide projector click through constellations. Charming. Also thirty years ago.
Principals sometimes hesitate on booking us because that’s the picture in their head. Here’s what changed.
You walk in now
Our dome has a walk-in entrance — students, teachers, and grandparents at family nights all enter upright. It’s wheelchair accessible, so every student in the building gets the same experience. Nobody crawls, and nobody gets left in the hallway.
The sky is digital
The old cylinder projectors showed one fixed sky. Our system is fully digital: we can lift off from Earth, orbit Saturn, watch the sun set in fast-forward, or jump the sky to the night of a student’s birthday. When a 4th grader asks “what’s inside Jupiter?”, we can go look. The sky becomes an answer machine.
A live educator, not a recording
Every session is presented live. That matters more than any hardware: a recording can’t notice that this particular group is obsessed with black holes and lean into it. Our presenters demonstrate the concepts, field the questions, and adjust on the fly — which is why the same dome works for pre-K and for high school physics students in back-to-back sessions.

Still zero-effort for your school
One thing the old version got right: it came to you. That part stayed. We set up in your gym in about 30 minutes, run every session, and strike it after the last group. Your staff walk classes down and that’s the whole job. The dome needs a 20×20-foot floor and a 12-foot ceiling — details on space requirements here.
