ABOUT US
At Galaxy on the Go, we believe space is one of the most exciting and inspiring subjects a student can explore—and that excitement and inspiration shouldn’t have to wait for a field trip.
We bring the thrill of the cosmos right to your school, library, or community. By creating an immersive, unforgettable experience, we aim not only to spark curiosity about space but also to open students’ eyes to the joy of learning itself—encouraging them to ask questions, explore ideas, and stay curious about the world (and universe) around them.
Founded by Scott Green—a lifelong space enthusiast, educator, and assembly presenter—Galaxy on the Go was built on the idea that learning should be fun, memorable, and shared.
Scott Green
Founder/Presenter
In 1991, Scott successfully petitioned his first-grade teacher to do a unit on the solar system. When she forgot her book one day, he stood up and taught the class about Neptune. He’s been sharing knowledge ever since.
Scott became a full-time assembly presenter in 2009—the same year he graduated law school cum laude and passed the Illinois bar. (He’s never practiced law, choosing instead to bring joy and learning to students instead.)
With Galaxy on the Go, Scott combines his lifelong love of space with his passion for sparking curiosity in children across Chicagoland. He lives in North Center with his wife and their two children, ages 12 and 9. A lifelong learner and trivia buff, Scott captained the University of Illinois team at the 2006 and 2007 College Bowl national championships and has appeared on five game shows—including a $56,600 win on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
